About The NDDCB SYMPOSIUM

The National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (NDDCB) is pleased to announce the 3rd International Symposium on Drug-Related Studies 2025, scheduled to be held in December 2025. Building on the success of the 2nd International Symposium in 2024, this annual event continues to reflect our unwavering commitment to advancing drug prevention, control, and treatment through research, policy dialogue, and global collaboration.


The 2025 symposium will bring together international experts, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss the latest evidence-based developments and strategies to address drug-related challenges. This year’s event will feature a series of dynamic and focused tracks designed to promote a holistic and multi-sectoral response:


• Track 1: Prevention - Strengthening Prevention through Community Engagement and Evidence-Based Strategies Exploring effective, community-driven prevention models rooted in scientific evidence and sustainable engagement.
• Track 2: Treatment and Recovery - Advancing Treatment and Recovery through Inclusive and Voluntary Approaches Highlighting person-centered, rights-based, and voluntary treatment systems that support long-term recovery and social reintegration.
• Track 3: Law enforcement - Enhancing Law Enforcement and Justice Sector Responses through Balanced and Coordinated Action Focusing on the role of the criminal justice system in drug control with a balanced, health- and rights-sensitive approach to enforcement and justice.
• Track 4: Scientific and Forensic Services - Advancing Scientific and Forensic Capabilities for Drug Detection, Analysis, and Monitoring Showcasing advancements in forensic science, toxicology, and drug monitoring systems essential for effective national and regional responses.

The symposium will be conducted in a hybrid format, offering both physical and virtual participation modes, to ensure inclusive and widespread engagement from across the globe. The overall goal of the 3rd International Symposium on Drug-Related Studies 2025 is to foster a comprehensive and collaborative global dialogue on drug prevention and control. By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, the symposium seeks to strengthen knowledge exchange, promote innovative and effective responses, and support the development of policies and practices that contribute to a drug-free and resilient society.
